New airport with two runways, terminal building, concourses, ancillary buildings and infrastructure.
The glass box is supported by horizontal tension trusses between guyed masts. Lateral loads transfer over hundreds of metres through slabs and compression struts in the roof as an enormous, pre-tensioned system.Project Role: Certifying Engineer for the terminal building glass walls and all associated support structures.
Special Features: This is the world’s largest glass wall which comprises of a box 400m long x 250m wide x 25m high.
